PROJECT DESCRIPTION

INNOVA Global was selected by General Electric in Houston, Texas to provide (6) six hot catalyst systems with stack \ silencers for various LM6000 series gas turbines over several contracts.

SCOPE OF WORK

Design, supply and install two complete exhaust systems with Higgott-KaneTM silencing: expansion joint; base module, elbow/breeching section and custom designed silencer for 60’ exhaust stack; test ports, circular platform, ladders and personnel protection screens. Proprietary anti-ice system supplied with inlet and outlet air ducts, butterfly dampers, centrifugal fan with inlet silencer, bellows, exhaust expansion joint and filter house rakes for GE Filter house.

Icing can occur anywhere within the inlet system. Integrated with the exhaust stack, the anti-icing system uses heat from the engine exhaust gas to warm collected ambient air. This warm air is carried to the filter house inlet, where it flows evenly across its face. The entire inlet system is protected from icing with virtually zero pressure drop and energy loss and without the need for costly environmental clean-up as needed for glycol systems. The simplicity of the design ensures adaptability to any gas turbine application.
